Your district has implemented single sign-on and auto-rostering services with ExploreLearning to provide a more seamless and integrated experience. This means your students will log in to Gizmos, Reflex, Frax and/or Science4Us (depending on your subscription) through your school's launchpad or portal, where they will click on our product icon to log in automatically. Please ensure your students refrain from accessing their accounts via our website to prevent complications or inaccuracies in their rostered accounts.
*Please note: The first-time log in process is the same whether your students have access to one or multiple ExploreLearning products.
Now that your district is rostered, the first time your students log in through their school launchpad or portal, they may arrive on our Student Account Linking Page to begin the one-time linking process to connect their school account to an ExploreLearning Student Account.
Accessing our products through the school’s launchpad or portal is the most reliable and convenient way for your students to log in.
Prerequisites for Account Linking
Students must have an active classroom product assigned by their teacher to complete the login or linking process. This article will cover two different registration scenarios:
Linking an EXISTING Student Account
Registering as a NEW ExploreLearning Student Account
Scenario 1: Linking an EXISTING Student Account
If your student has been using an ExploreLearning account and you wish to maintain their progress, the student can link their existing product account with their new Rostered ExploreLearning account.
From the Student Account Linking Page, instruct your student to enter their teacher’s username in the Teacher Username field, then have your student select Continue to begin their account linking process. To ensure successful linking, remind students to also have their ExploreLearning account password ready during this process.
From the 'Select Your Class' screen, your student must select the Class Name associated with the teacher's username on the Class Selection Page.
**Please note: If your student entered the wrong teacher username, ensure they select Back to return to the Student Account Linking Page.
Your student doesn't see their class? Instruct the student to select MY CLASS IS NOT LISTED on the bottom right corner and read the following.
Next, your student must select their Name from the list of students enrolled in the class.
**Please Note: If your student cannot click their name, please login and provide the student an assignment. Product assignments are critical as they enable students to access and complete the account linking process seamlessly. Without an active assignment, students may encounter errors during initial login or linking.
Your student doesn't see their name? Instruct the student to select MY NAME IS NOT LISTED in the bottom right corner and read the following.
For students with a multi-product account, the Product Launcher Page will appear. The Product Launcher Page will only display products your student has access to.
Once your student selects a product, they will land on the 'Enter Password' screen. (See Below)
If your student has access to one product, the 'Enter Password' screen will populate.
After entering their ExploreLearning account password, ask your student to select Login to complete the process of linking their school portal and ExploreLearning account.
The associated product's Student App will launch automatically.
Scenario 2: Registering as a NEW ExploreLearning Student
To register your student as a new ExploreLearning student, ensure they select I AM NEW TO EXPLORELEARNING from the Student Account Linking Page.
Your student will now automatically log in to their new auto-rostered ExploreLearning account. If your student has a multi-product account, they Product Launcher Page will load. The Product Launcher Page will only display products the student has access to. If your student has access to a single ExploreLearning product, the Student App will launch automatically.
Account Changes and Merged Subscriptions
If a teacher’s trial account is upgraded to a full subscription, students may need to link their accounts as part of the transition. Teachers will need to reach out to ExploreLearning to request a trial roll-in to the active subscription for their school or district.
Ensure that teachers verify active product assignments for both manually created and rostered classes to facilitate smooth linking. After accounts are linked, students will operate under a unified rostered account.
The 'My Class Is Not Listed' and 'My Name Is Not Listed' Screen
If your student selects either of these options during the account linking process, they will arrive one of the following screens:
My Class is Not Listed
My Name is Not Listed
Please instruct your student to select BACK to return to the previous page and retry connecting their school account with their existing ExploreLearning Student Account.
If your student selects CONTINUE, they will automatically log in to their new ExploreLearning Student Account linked to your district's auto-rostering process.
Teacher Workflow Recommendation
To ensure clean and organized rosters, teachers are encouraged to remove manually created classes after students successfully link their accounts and transition to rostered classes.
