ExploreK12 Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment to Accessibility

ExploreLearning and Learning A-Z is now ExploreK12! Our literacy, math, and science solutions help educators achieve meaningful results for every student through learning experiences that are as effective as they are fun.

At ExploreK12, we are committed to providing digital learning products that are accessible and usable for all learners, including those with disabilities. Accessibility is central to our mission of supporting teaching and learning across diverse needs and environments.

ExploreK12 designs all educational products with inclusive learning experiences in mind. We strive to meet internationally recognized accessibility standards, aligning our platforms with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA criteria. To guide these ongoing enhancements, we partner with external accessibility specialists and utilize dedicated internal accessibility teams alongside our shared accessibility committee.

Platforms across our portfolio actively incorporate features like keyboard navigation alternatives, adjustable audio settings, non-flashing content, and clear on-screen labels to ensure optimal usability for all learners. Because our individual solutions vary in format and function - ranging from foundational literacy and math programs to highly interactive math and science simulations - conformance levels can differ by product.

While some complex, highly interactive simulated elements do not currently meet every formal success criterion, we regularly review, update, and actively remediate our software. Where needed, we provide equivalent alternative resources to ensure that all students have the opportunity to succeed.

General Practices

  • We strive to follow the principles of WCAG 2.1 - ensuring content is perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for a wide range of users, including those who rely on assistive technologies.

  • Accessibility is an ongoing process; we regularly assess, update, and enhance our tools and documentation to address new standards and user needs.

  • We regularly review and update our platforms and maintain Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates (VPATs) for key products to describe how they conform to these standards.

  • If you encounter accessibility barriers, please contact us (contact information below) with details so we can help and continually improve the experience.
