Adding Gizmos to a Class or Classes

There are a couple of different ways to add Gizmos to your classes on My Homepage. Each is outlined below.

Using the Search Engine

Doing a search on ExploreLearning is easy. Simply type one or more search terms (the words or phrase that best describe the Gizmo you want to find) into the search box located at the top of every ExploreLearning page then hit the 'Enter' key or click on the 'Go' button.

In response, the Explorelearning search engine creates a results page consisting of a list of Gizmos, with the most relevant page appearing first, then the next, and so on.

Each Gizmo in the search results page is represented by a 'Gizmo Listing' consisting of the following: The Gizmo Thumbnail image, The Gizmo Title, a link to the Gizmo Details page, Gizmo Preview icons, and the Launch Gizmo Link.

Choose the Gizmo you would like to add to your class, and click the Add Gizmo to Class button in that Gizmo Listing.

  5. Finally, in the pop up window, click the Add to Class button and you're done. The Gizmo will be added to the class(es) you selected.

Also you can browse for Gizmos Correlated to State Standards and to Gizmos Correlated to Major Textbooks and add those to your classes in much the same way.

Import Gizmos

If you have a Gizmo List in one of your classes that you want to use in another class, you can use our Import Gizmos function to copy the list from one class to another. Here's how:

  1. Select the class tab onto which you want to import a Gizmo List. (Note: If you already have an existing Gizmo List,
using the Import Gizmo List function will add the new list onto the end of the existing list. It will NOT overwrite your existing Gizmo List.)
  2. Click on the Import Gizmos link.
